Mission Statement

Our mission is straight forward and simple, with no hidden agendas- identical to how this Branch will exist moving forward.

To have the upmost respect to all competitors, members and their canine counterparts by offering the best programs with professional standards, maintain all rules and by-laws for EVERYONE involved with no exceptions.

Finally, while attention will always be on the safety to all dogs and people involved, we will do everything we can to provide the most equal playing field during competition.

As our membership grows, we hope that all members will adhere to the same mission.

Constitution and By-Laws

Please check the G.S.D.C.C. website and the FCI website as we will adhere to the rules of the organizations that govern us. You can find both those links on the homepage.  We are also under certain obligations from C.K.C.

The G.S.D.C.C. Inc-Branch will have by-laws and rules in place for our Championships and general trial rules. They will be posted soon, they will updated here is this section.   

Requirements for German Shepherd Dogs in Canada to be 

eligible for Team Canada (International Events)

1)      The GSD must be CKC registered and all owners/handlers must be a CKC member.

2)      The owner(s)/handler of the dog must be a resident of Canada.

3)      The GSD must have hips and elbows certified successfully through OFA or the SV.

4)      The GSD and owner(s)/handler must be a member of the GSDCC-Branch.

5)      The owner(s)/handler must be in good standing with the GSDCC-Branch for a minimum of 2 years starting in 2022.

6)      All teams must meet the requirements set by the Canadian National Championship Selection Trial each year.

7)      Regional Championships will be a requirement in order to be eligible into the Canadian Championships (2021)

Rules are subject to change at the beginning of each year, please remain up to date on rules for International competitions. All teams MUST comply with international rules set forth by the country/organizations hosting and running the World Championship events.
